An unusual commission...

While the Homebuild show carried on over the weekend we were drawing up plans for a last minute job with tight immovable deadlines for an aquarium building company. The brief was to be as low profile as possible but with several access panels. Often the more simple it needs to look the more difficult it is to make.

The job was successfully completed, within a week from order, late friday night in Manchester. Our men in the workshop put all their effort and committment in. Thank you gentlemen!

Harrogate Homebuilding and Renovating Show November 2011

This Year's show was very busy and we had great fun exhibiting a made for the occasion walnut credenza which has, hidden inside, a loewe 37 inch screen and remote controlled lift. There was lots of interest in our beautifully made cabinet and many compliments!  The table lamps were on loan from our friends at Oldfield lighting.

Forest Schools - http://annieberrington1.wordpress.com/2011/08/04/in-the-green/
Jonas & Jim have been getting back to basics, in their spare time away from the fine furniture side of woodworking they've been Green woodturning in the woods in all weathers! Working with the Scouts and Forest schools they have had great days in the woods under makeshift shelters showing groups of children of all ages the basic skills, all of the children managed to turn something during the day, the thought of children and chisels was a bit daunting but all fingers survived the day!

Oak Stairs

If you ever wanted to know how much timber goes into a staircase this is only half! We were commissioned to design and build this staircase and mezzanine within a barn conversion, as part of a four Year (so far) project which has seen us move from room to room designing and manufacturing solid Oak furniture throughout.
